From 2009. I had a Yamaha R1 and Mercedes W124 300TE. My wife had a Land Rover Freelander at the time

Dat Mercedes. I long for a nice 320CE or TE.

Why is everyone suddenly posting W124s everywhere I look? I miss my old E320 wagon...

Same here. My BMW E36 is not half as good. I snapped a drive shaft on the W124 when giving it some POWER coming out of a junction

Don't know. I definitely don't like seeing them, as I defnitely don't DD a W124 300d and my dad definitely doesn't have an E300 4MATIC. Nope.

The transmission on mine was on its way out, so it was a little grabby when you almost come to a stop and then pull away. So part of me knows it was time to get rid of it, but that doesn't by any means stop me from wanting another one very badly.

I found a 4MATIC on Stanceworks a few weeks ago (it was stock, just being sold through the site), and wanted it so badly. It was basically my old car in white and a 300te instead of an E320 and a year earlier - wagon, same mileage, had the same transmission issue at the same time until the trans was replaced. And it was $2400 last time I checked. It's in Ohio though, and I'm in Vermont, so it's a trek, and I don't have room for other cars right now (I have a BMW E24 which I love and a Civic for winter/daily duty, and I traded the Merc for a project E24). Still, it tempts me.
